Figaro Coffee Company / Figaro coffee CTS10

The Origins

The Figaro Coffee Company was established in 1993 by a group of seven friends, whose zeal for coffee was acquired from their travels all over the world.

This passion began as a hobby of brewing, tasting and experimenting with many varieties of coffee from around the globe. It soon grew into a business, with the purpose of sharing the fine art of European coffee culture with as many people as possible.

The first Figaro Coffee Store formally opened in November 1993, a simple kiosk located in one of Manila’s premiere malls. Originally, Figaro offered a selection of specialty coffees from around the world, always freshly brewed, as well as a variety of coffee and tea paraphernalia. The seven friends managed the Coffee Store themselves, serving their customers personally, and teaching them how to brew and enjoy their own coffee at home. This kind of personalised service endeared Figaro to its customers, generating a devout following of deeply serious coffee

 The Secret of our Bean

Our Beans are Always Freshly Roasted.

Coffee beans need to be roasted to bring out their irresistible flavor and aromatics. However, once they are roasted, they begin to deteriorate. This is why, freshness is very important. The sooner a roasted bean gets into a cup, the better the flavor.

At Figaro, we roast our beans here. That means, once roasted, they get to our shops right away. They don’t travel great distances or great time spans to get to you.

We also cook them in our very own roasters carefully watched over by our roasting experts who make sure each bean is done perfectly.

Our beans are roasted and packed just before they reach our shelves:

 Metro Blend

This all medium roast of two coffee varieties is coffee just the way Italians like it – sweet, nutty, and extremely pleasant. This blend is perfect any time of the day.

 Barako Gold

Exercise caution in the enjoyment of this brew. One hundred percent, pure Barako, it is uniquely powerful, extremely flavorful, and it is not an experience to be recommended for the delicate or particularly sensitive individual.

 Barako Blend

In this enthralling blend, the exquisite charm of Arabica tempers the full, almost alcoholic, winey kick of the Barako. Drink in both flavor and aroma of this blend, it delivers an experience unlike any other.

 Flavored Beans

Most “flavoured coffees” are made by adding flavoured syrups or cream to the brew. Figaro Flavoured coffees, on the other hand, are made through a special process that actually “cures” the flavors into the beans just after roasting, giving each a delicate yet lingering flavour without the added calories or alcohols.

To cater to the different taste preferences, Figaro offers a wide selection of flavoured coffees. We recommend you try them all to encounter the unique delight each has to offer.

 Figaro is…

…Figaro is the #1 Filipino coffee brand.

Figaro is the pioneer in coffee in the Philippines even before international coffee chain entrants.

…Figaro sources its coffee locally, helping improve the livelihood of local farmers

…At Figaro, we roast our beans weekly before delivery to stores ensuring freshness of every cup.

The personalized service has endeared Figaro to its customers, generating a devout following of deeply loyal coffee drinkers.
